Power Supply Note

The PSU chassis option provides the enclosure, power transformer, connectors and pattern control. It must be completed with the D-12 PSU PCB, which is not included with the chassis.

The D-12 PSU PCB is required because it generates the negative grid bias the 6072A tube needs, along with a properly regulated 120 V rail and a low noise floor. The basic board installed in the chassis does not provide this bias and must be replaced. Do not use it to power your microphone.

Follow the wiring in the build guide, and do not cut or modify the 7-pin connector links unless the guide tells you to.
